Dress it Up merges my passions for paper art and animal rescue all in one.
I have always loved to create with paper and have enjoyed making my own greeting cards for friends and family for many years. Learning new techniques and trying new products allows me to always challenge my skills and creativity.
My family includes my husband and five children along with 3 pugs. My girls love helping me with my DressItUp4U shop on Etsy, from taking product photos to helping package orders. Our shop is a labor of love, and we love passing this on to you.
About seven years ago, I became involved in animal rescue, specifically transporting animals from shelters to foster homes, and from foster homes to forever homes. Although it can be so sad, picking up a scared, sick dog from an animal shelter, there are few things as gratifying. The kisses and tail wags when they realize they are leaving a shelter and beginning their journey forward to another, better life is heartwarming.
Unfortunately, many dogs coming into rescue have not been cared for and need some form of medical attention. Sometimes it's just vaccines; other times they need surgery. This is what rescues do, get care and temporary homes for the dogs and get them as healthy as possible. Once they are ready to be adopted, homes are screened for the best placement. But often times the adoption fee doesn't cover the care the dog required. That along with the never-ending stream of dogs needing help is why rescues are always raising money. There will always be those that need help and there are never enough funds to cover all the costs.
